Firstly Jo the owner was so friendly and helpful. The location overlooking the rolling farms to the sea and Looe was fabulous. There is a massive grass lawn with table and chair in the sun all day and parking was a doddle. The room was called Foxglove and it had one of the best views facing south. Everything was provided for hot drinks, bottled water and biscuits and there was always replenishments in the lobby without having to ask. The breakfast was the best quality you could ask for and the menu was tailored to what you wanted in every detail. The bed was fine, and the room looked brand new fitted out in a country house style with two comfy arm chairs. The house was a perfect large country farm house with a large breakfast room and sitting room with conservatory. All the carpets and decor looked brand new. Definitely can give the highest recommendation and will stay there again

Sunset at Bucklawren
Autumn Morning at Bucklawren by Nick Wotton
It is mid-October
The sea framed in low cloud
Crashing against the Cornish coast
Outside the wind shouts loud
Daytime struggles to free itself
From the shackles of the night
Through the mist and murk this morn
No sun is shining bright
But over the fields that reach down to the shore
Organically dressed up to the hilt
Tired brown leaves on the swaying trees
With this season start to wilt
The crows erratically flying high and then low
As they fail to conquer the winds fierce blow
Through the valley the day starts to slowly arrive
The lights of the town centre glow
As my eyes scan this view of the dancing sea
From my window at Bucklawren Farm
I am reminded so well as the cold wind blows
Of the season’s unique autumn charm
A Bucklawren Poem
Bucklawren Bed and Breakfast
Once more our journey has ended
At Bucklawren , we have come to rest
To share hospitality from our friend Jo
This haven in Cornwall is the best
Views that reach so far out to sea
Over farmland and green rolling hills
I never grow weary to enjoy this rich land
My vista from here always thrills
Our room so clean and homely
A bed where you sleep through the night
The breakfast from Jo is such a real joy
With everything served up just right
Here is a place we enjoy always ,such peace
And experience the calmest of days
We are sure to return to Bucklawren again
To enjoy life in so many ways
Once more to watch the Sun dance on the sea
And the fields , with rays that are kissed
See nature at its morning best parade
Watch the Island raise its head above the mist
Sometimes the simplest things in life
You can find with surprising ease
At Bucklawren we sit and enjoy our time
On the lawn with a gentle sea breeze
