The Monkey Sanctuary

Walking Distance

The Monkey Sanctuary is situated in beautiful woodlands overlooking Looe Bay. It’s been a safe haven for monkeys since 1964. Caring for a range of different species of rescues, they give visitors an insight to a working sanctuary and a chance to see some of its amazing residents. A wonderful day trip for all the family.

Looe Golf Course

Designed by six times open champion, Harry Vardon, Looe Golf Club is set in an area of breath-taking beauty. The panoramic views from the course are just stunning – from the peaks of Dartmoor in the East to Looe Island and the Channel in the South. All that glorious coast and country to soak up at a friendly club.

Porfell Wildlife Park

There’s always a warm welcome at Porfell Wildlife Park – Cornwall’s biggest exotic animal sanctuary, located only a few miles from Looe. A very special place providing a safe haven for neglected, unwanted and injured animals. You can relax, have fun and learn a little too.

Carnglaze Slate Caverns

If you’re looking for a popular, all weather tourist attraction – Carnglaze Slate Caverns is just the ticket! Set amongst 8 acres of ancient oak woodland on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor, you can explore the cavern depths, enjoy woodland walks and visit the gift shop selling unique hand-crafted items.

Mount Edgcumbe

Make memories at Mount Edgcumbe, Britain’s historic park by the sea. Take a stroll around the house and grounds or get adventurous along the coastline or forest trails. Need a little pause? Indulge in some gift shopping, then take a break at the Orangery or Stables Café. Lots to see and do and most definitely one for the list!
